VersaScreen ended its relationship with Bylin Engineered System in mid 2013 after Bylin Engineered systems failed to live up to the terms of the agreement. The change has proven to be a real boost to the Ice Dam Prevention Product industry. With the end of the Bylin patent, we were free to make the improvements to the eave and valley system we had be asking for for years. Improvements included:
- Tighter tolerances to improve heat transfer and energy efficiency.
- Improvements to valley installation.
- Better interaction with gutter guards
Since the termination of the relationship, Bylin was purchased by Pentair (a large multinational corporation). What this means for their relationship with the installing contractor and purchasing homeowner remains to be seen. As for our products, our complete system approach will meet all of your needs. Release - VersaScreen Gutter Protection
VersaScreen Gutter Protection and Bylin Roof Ice Melt Systems have inked a distribution agreement for the VersaScreen IceBlaster and Bylin RIM Systems. VersaScreen IceBlaster will be distributed through Bylin Sales Reps throughout the country (except for Wisconsin). Bylin will offer sales and support of VersaScreen IceBlaster and RIM Valley panels, as well as self regulating heat cables, control systems and accesories. Customers will have peace of mind with a system that is well designed and ready for installation. In Wisconsin, WI Ice Dam Solutions will handle sales, support and design. VersaScreen Gutter Protection is based in southeast Wisconsin.

All VersaScreen IceBlaster Heated Gutter Protection Systems will be shipped complete with all the necessary materials for a trouble free installation. Included are self regulating heat cables, VersaScreen IceBlaster IceMelt Brackets, VersaScreen Pro Gutter Protection, Power Connection and Tee Splice Kits, Thermostat Controls, and fasteners. Contractors will be able to install this outstanding roof and gutter ice dam prevention system in their areas.
