Sale of Nuheat to Pentair necessitates a change.

With the sale of Nuheat to Pentair, our source for the top performing Fujikura self regulating has changed. With Pentair requiring the use of the RayChem IceStop heat cable by Nuheat customers, OEM, and distributors, we sought out a new source for the Fujikura cable. 

Nuheat was a private lable of Fujikura. Private labeling means that there far more heat cables out there than there are manufacturers. There are only a handful of actual makers of these self regulating heat cables. Many firms purchase cable in larger quantities and have their company information printed on them. We have this option available to us as well.

Often times, private labeling obscures the origin of the heat cable. An American company may purchase heat cable from a Chinese manufacturer but make it appear as though it is manufactured in the United States. While much of the heat cable produced is very inexpensive and does not have the performance or life span of the top performing heat cable available, it is hard for the consumer to tell the difference.

We used to use Nuheat self regulating heat cable. We now use Drexan self regulating heat cable. However, this cable has always been produced by Fujikura. This cable is produced differently from much of the cable out there. Fujikura produces the cable under voltage so they can measure exactly what they are producing and make adjustments to meet their rigid standards. Other heat cable manufacturers produce the cable and test it afterwards to decide what they have. We prefer the consistency of the Fujikura cable. This company is world class and leading the way in the heat cable industry.
